Product Review: Vichy

Hello, Hello!

I have a semi-product review for you today! A few months back, when I first started this blog I posted about my new Vichy products when I had just purchased them. I used up all of what I had a couple of months ago, and I have been using other random moisturizers and cleansers in place of them. However, last week I went to the store and repurchased the moisturizer. It came in a box set with a couple of other goodies as well, which I will talk about. I also bought a different cleanser than I had before due to recommendation from a friend.  So here is what I think:
I have the Aqualia Thermal moisturizer in “light” and it is the item I repurchased. I love it! It feels soft and smooth on my skin and it smells heavenly! I am so obsessed with the scent. I couldn’t wait to repurchase this!

The two things that came with the box set are the Aqualia Thermal Boosting Essence Water and the Aqualia Thermal Night Spa. The essence water is supposed to act as a toner and make your other products go on smoother and benefit you in the best way that they can. I am really not an expert when it comes to skin care stuff, as I only know what works best for me. I haven’t noticed too much of a difference using the essence water so far but it has only been about a week. I do however love the way it feels when I put it on. It feels very refreshing. It also smells amazing! One thing Vichy knows how to do, hands down, is make their products smell luxurious!
As for the Night Spa or Night Mask, this has suited me just fine. I like having two different moisturizers from day to night, and I’ll tell you again how good this smells!! I have no complaints about this product at all. My skin feels soft in the morning and I like that just fine.

The last product I bought was the Purete Thermale 3 in 1 cleanser. I recommended the Aqualia Thermal daytime moisturizer to my friend a few months ago and when she purchased it, it came with this specific cleanser. So, when I went to buy my old loves, I was torn between trying this one or my old favourite (click here). My friend absolutely loves the 3 in 1 cleanser. She says it takes off all of her makeup even waterproof stuff, and she also doesn’t mind that it’s a milky cleanser and so it doesn’t foam. I wasn’t too concerned about the foaming, but I loved the thought of my makeup coming right off. So I went ahead and grabbed the 3 in 1. DSCN0678Unfortunately for me, it is not a love. The 3 in 1, as always I’ll say it again — smells amazing– but I don’t find it takes my makeup off very well at all. I am left with raccoon eyes that I just can’t get rid of. I will admit, after trying the milk cleanser, I do seem to prefer the foaming more simply because it makes me feel like I am really getting all of the dirt out. I can also use it with my exfoliating brush and I don’t feel like I could do that with the 3 in 1. I will hang on to it, and most likely finish the bottle since I can’t let myself waste a product, and it is good for days when I am not wearing makeup and just want a soft moisturizing rinse. However, I will more than likely be heading back to the store to get the foaming one I had before since that one was more to my liking.

Have you tried any of these products before? What are your favourite skin care products? Feel free to let me know in the comments!
